Firstly planetgolfreview would like to congratulate Matteo Manassero on becoming the youngest winner of the PGA Championship, an entry to the US Open and sitting nicely in the Top 50 on the world rankings - good work lad!

This week sees the European Tour tee up at the stunning Bro Hof Slott designed by Robert Trent Jones Jnr and built as Europe’s longest golf course with a unique golfing experience.

The project of entrepreneur and owner Björn Örås took five years in the making but anyone who has seen this track knows it was well worth the wait. Everything was taken into account right down to the spectator angles in what is known as Victory Valley, renovating the castle and producing a 20-25 cm layer of sand over the natural clay to give it one of the best drainage systems in the world today.

My tips to win:

Alexander Noren 14/1 is a past champion here in 2011. Alexander has three Top 10 finishes so far this season from the nine events he has played. The Swed had a Top 10 finish here last year while defending his championship so he obviously likes playing in front of a home crowd.

I am not sure why Peter Hanson 20/1 missed last weeks BMW PGA Championship, he has played in it for the last nine years, so I am hoping it was more so he can get some practice in than an injury. Peter is a past winner of this event but not over this track, but he did have a Top 5 finish here last year and will be another home player to look out for.

Bernd Wiesberger 28/1 looks like he’s coming back in to the form that saw him win two European Tour events last year. Bernd has had two Top 15 finishes in his last three tournaments, one a fifth place finish at the Trophée Hassan II and a twelfth place finish at last weeks BMW PGA Championship, firing a 68 on the final day, which should see the Austrian in confident mood this week on a course he had a Top 20 finish on last year.

My each-way tips:

It’s been a tough year for Ross Fisher 33/1 trying to breakthrough on the PGA Tour. He has had a couple of Top 25 finishes in America but I am sure being back at a venue where he’s had a runners-up finish last year will build on the solid showing he had at the PGA Championship last week.

Mikko Ilonen 33/1 is in a rich vain of form and only a second round 76 at last weeks PGA Championship on a damp cold Friday at Wentworth put him out of contention. During an interview after his opening round of 67 in that tournament Mikko was asked about his recent improvement and the Fin put it down to a new relaxed manner on the course. Going by recent results Ilonen has twoTop 5 finishes in his last four events and it seems to be working. Mikko is also a past champion of this event but not on this course.

My outside tip:

Richardo Santos 80/1 looks like he’s heading back in the right direction, he didn’t have the greatest of PGA Championships but he did finish well with a final round of 68 at Wentworth. Richardo has had seven Top 25 finishes this season from his twelve starts, three of those have been Top 5 finishes which shows the Portuguese player is ready to add to his one European Tour win.

As always good luck
