The Algarve in Portugal is the next stop on the European Tour and its Arnold Palmers Oceanico Victoria Course that sees one of the strongest fields in the Portuguese Masters short history, teeing it up at this beautifully manicured 7,227 yard design, which includes five Major Champions and 20 Ryder Cup players.

Also competing this week are Thomas Bjrn, Simon Dyson and Alex Noren who have all won three times on the tour this year. Thomas Bjrns resurgence can be traced back to Portugal last year, when he was victorious in the Open de Portugal.

He stated: My victory in Portugal last year was an important one in my career, as it was my first in four years and I would love to have the Portugal Masters title to sit alongside it. I finished in the top 20 at Vilamoura last year and its a course where if you get on a run, like I have done this year, you can post a low score. The field is going to be extremely strong but Ive been in fantastic form this year and it would great to get a fourth win.

The sentimental theme runs right through this years Portuguese Masters with Steve Webster, whose victory in the inaugural Portugal Masters in 2007 was dedicated to his mother who had died five months beforehand.

Webster is one of three past champions competing this week with Alvaro Quiros of Spain and defending champion Richard Green of Australian all in the field.

My tips to win:

Jamie Donaldson 25/1

Francesco Molinari 16/1

Lorenzo Gagli 33/1

My Each way tips:

Thomas Aiken 33/1

Tano Goya 80/1

Pablo Larrazabal 66/1

As always good luck
